In this collective creation directed by Erizonte well known artists sharing ethics and aesthetics come together over the mysterious and disturbing drawings that appeared in some newspapers, books and magazines in the mid 1960 ́s to mid 1980 ́s, such as Hermano Lobo, Triunfo or Cuadernos para el Diálogo, signed OPS - later better known by the heteronym of
El Roto.
Musicians or sound artists, representatives of avant-garde music that emerged in the Spain of OPS, have composed a piece for this album on a given, recurring theme: repression, censorship, informative manipulation, induced or obligatory oblivion,
the vices of clericalism, the horrors of war, imperialism, bad education or the lack thereof and gender violence.
These are themes that coincide with those already undertaken by Goya in etchings, and of whom we can consider Andrés Rábago, the painter behind these two pseudonyms, as the legitimate heir, at least in this field. He himself has chosen the drawings that illustrate each of the covers corresponding to the individual editions of each piece as they appeared. The covers are all gathered here, along with a new cover.
This album is part II of Erizonte's trilogy inspired by drawings in the media c. After the first part, the “Suite Los Caprichos de Goya”, where 19th century ideals of the Enlightenment can be seen through the etchings of Francisco de Goya, while this second album corresponds to the OPS cartoons, anti-Francoism and its environment, as it was when they appeared in newspapers and magazines, the media of the 20th century. The artist and the graphic medium for the third and last part, corresponding to this 21st century, is yet to be discovered ...

En esta obra de creación colectiva dirigida por Erizonte confluyen importantes artistas cercanos en ética y estética a aquellos misteriosos y perturbadores dibujos que aparecieron en algunos periódicos, libros y revistas que entre mediados de los años 60 y de los 80 (como Hermano Lobo, Triunfo o Cuadernos para el Diálogo) firmaba OPS, posteriormente más conocido con el heterónimo de
El Roto.
Músicos y artistas sonoros, representativos de ciertas vanguardias musicales que surgieron en la España de OPS, han compuesto para este álbum cada uno de ellos una pieza sobre estos temas: La represión, la censura, el olvido inducido o forzoso, los vicios del clericalismo, el imperialismo, la manipulación informativa, la mala educación o su carencia, los horrores de la guerra y la violencia contra la mujer. Son temáticas que coinciden con las que trató Goya en sus grabados y de quien podemos considerar a Andrés Rábago (el pintor detrás de aquellos dos seudónimos) como uno de sus legítimos herederos, al menos en este ámbito.
Él mismo ha elegido los dibujos que ilustran cada una de las portadas de las ediciones individuales de cada pieza. Todas quedan aquí reunidas, junto con su carátula y alguna novedad adicional para este álbum, segundo capítulo de la Trilogía de Erizonte inspirada en el arte plasmado en los medios de comunicación como transmisores de ideas progresistas.
La primera parte es la “Suite los Caprichos de Goya”, el siglo XIX, con los ideales de la Ilustración y los grabados de Francisco de Goya. La segunda corresponde a las viñetas de OPS, representativas del antifranquismo y su entorno que aparecieron en las rotativas del siglo XX. El artista y el medio gráfico para la tercera y última parte, la que corresponde a este siglo 21, está por descubrir.
